These few words describe the expectations of the participants of the 2-day seminar „Auditor training – internal audits 2011“.
The cross- border working group "Safety Rounds" developed the idea to transfer the successful Danish auditor training to the German project partners.
The international and experienced instructor team consisted of Jeanette Hounsgaard from the Center for Kvalitet in Middelfart, who has already trained more than 700 employees in the hospitals in Southern Denmark, Jens Rohs, quality manager of the hospital Nordfriesland in Husum, and Stephan Jatzkowski, quality manager of the Diakonissenanstalt Flensburg.
The instructors explained the eight principles of quality management, the P (plan) D (do) C (check) A (act) cycle and gave practical advices. After the basic question: „What are internal audits? “was answered, the participants dealt intensely with the planning, preparation, evaluation and realization of an internal audit. What they have learned was immediately implemented in numerous exercises, group discussions and role playing and afterwards reflected in the group.
The participants met in the common room of the Nordsee Akademie in Leck in the evening to speak about the training day and to intensify the contacts between the project partners.
The instructors got only positive feedback of the participants at the end of the 2-day event. All participants were motivated to implement what they have learned as quickly as possible.
Based on this success the cross- border working group "Safety Rounds" will organize a second seminar before the first internal audits are carried out. The topic will be “Human Factor” at the end of March/ beginning of April 2011.
At this point we want to thank the instructors and participants for the successful seminar and we hope to see you soon again!
